Credit Control Assistant
About the Role
We are seeking an organised and motivated Credit Control Assistant to join our busy finance team in Harrogate, close to Hornbeam train station. The ideal candidate will have strong numeracy and communication skills, and a confident telephone manner. Some prior credit control experience is beneficial but not essential.
Our standard hours are 9\-5 Monday to Friday. Part\-time hours considered across 5 short days.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for monitoring a section of the sales ledger and diligently follow up on overdue payments.
- Accurately posting sales receipts to the ledger
- Contacting customers regularly by telephone and email
- Recording all chasing contact promptly and accurately in Sage and Credit Hound software
- Liasing with other teams to ensure customer queries are swiftly resolved
- Providing support and cover for fellow team members when required
- Strong communication skills, with a confident and polite phone manner
- Excellent numeracy skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to multi\-task
- Good IT skills – including Excel
- Prior credit control experience is beneficial but not essential
- Sage software experience beneficial but not essential
- Ability to commute daily to our offices in Harrogate
· Salary: £25,000\-£26,000 FTE depending on experience
· 24 days holiday plus bank holidays
