We are Kinly Care \- Waters Edge. Our services cater for a range of clients from residential to supported living. We are looking for a proactive manager to supporting a growing care provider and help deliver and maintain person centred care.

Key Responsibilities:

1\. Leadership \& Management

  • Lead, motivate, and develop care staff to ensure high\-quality care delivery.

  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and person\-centred culture.

  • Ensure effective communication across all staff, residents, families and external professionals

  • Ensure the home remains compliant and staff are supported in terms of inductions, probations, supervision, and appraisals.

  • Ensure all staff adhere to organisational policies, procedures, and statutory regulations.

  • Maintain a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous professional development.
2\. Staff Compliance \& Development
  • Ensure all staff complete mandatory training, professional certifications, and refresher courses.

  • Monitor staff performance and adherence to legal, regulatory, and organisational standards.

  • Identify training gaps and implement development plans to maintain competency and compliance.

  • Keep accurate records of staff qualifications, training, and compliance audits.
3\. Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, the Health and Social Care Act, and other relevant legislation.

  • Maintain registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and ensure all CQC requirements are met.

  • Maintain accurate and up\-to\-date records for inspections and audits.

  • Act as the main point of contact for regulators and implement any required actions promptly.
4\. Quality of Care
  • Oversee assessment, care planning, and review of residents’ needs.

  • Monitor care delivery and implement improvements where necessary.

  • Promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of all residents.

  • Handle complaints, incidents, safeguarding concerns, and investigations according to policy.

  • Conduct assessments for new admissions, including health, social, and risk evaluations, to ensure the home can meet residents’ needs safely and effectively.
5\. Operational Management
  • Manage staffing levels, recruitment, induction, and retention.

  • Plan, manage, and review staff rotas to ensure safe and compliant staffing levels at all times.

  • Ensure the home operates within budget and monitor financial performance.

  • Maintain safe and compliant premises, equipment, and supplies.

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational plans.

  • Support HR processes, including staff recruitment, contracts, performance management, and disciplinary matters.

  • Support with HR disciplinary matters for other services where required.

  • Work with finance to manage budgets, monitor expenditure, and ensure cost\-effective operations.

  • Conduct regular operational and compliance audits to identify risks, monitor standards, and implement improvements.
6\. Reporting \& Governance
  • Produce regular reports for senior management, including quality, staffing, and financial updates.

  • Ensure robust risk management processes are in place.

  • Maintain and monitor performance metrics, incidents, and complaints.
7\. Business Development \& External Relations
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with local authorities, health services, and other key stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities for the home to grow and expand services.

  • Represent the home professionally in meetings, inspections, and community events.

  • Work collaboratively with commissioners, healthcare partners, and regulators to promote high\-quality care.
8\. Other Duties
  • The responsibilities outlined in this job description are not exhaustive.

  • The Registered Manager may be required to undertake other duties as reasonably requested by the Provider, consistent with the role, skills, and responsibilities.

  • This includes responding to urgent operational needs, supporting additional projects, or implementing new initiatives to improve quality of care and compliance.
Pay: Up to £50,000\.00 per year
