Cover Supervisor/Teaching Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cover Supervisor/Teaching Assistant to support classroom activities across various educational settings. Duties
- Supervise students during lessons, breaks, and organised activities to maintain a safe and disciplined environment
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and resource organisation
- Support students with special educational needs, including those with disabilities or autism, ensuring they can participate fully in classroom activities
- Provide one\-to\-one or small group tutoring in core subjects such as literacy, numeracy, or creative writing
- Mentor students to develop their social skills, confidence, and independence
- Implement personalised support plans for students requiring additional assistance
- Foster positive behaviour and encourage student engagement through creative and inclusive teaching methods
- Support students with behavioural challenges by applying effective communication and mentoring techniques
- Contribute to the development of customised learning activities that cater to diverse learning styles
- Experience working with children, including those with special educational needs or disabilities
- Knowledge of working with individuals with autism or other behavioural challenges
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
- Creative writing skills to assist in developing engaging educational content and activities
- Experience in tutoring or mentoring students to improve academic performance and personal development
- Organised and proactive approach to supporting classroom routines and behaviour management
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in fostering inclusive education environments
Pay: From £100\.00 per day
