Salary (Actual Salary): £13,907 to £14,553
Working Pattern: 22 Hours Per Week, Wednesday to Friday, Term Time only \+ 5 days (39 weeks)
Are you a proactive and engaging individual with excellent classroom management skills, ready to step in and ensure continuity of learning during teacher absences? Do you excel at motivating students and maintaining a constructive working environment across various subjects? The overall purpose of this post is to supervise whole classes during the short\-term absence of teachers and implement work programmes under the guidance of teaching staff.
Outwood Academy Valley is seeking an energetic and confident individual to work with our staff and pupils. As a Cover Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising students during short term teacher absences and assist in preparing the learning environment and the materials required. You will cover lessons of any subject using the cover work set by the teacher, set high expectations to motivate and challenge students whilst managing behaviour effectively and promoting a positive learning environment.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for organising the daily cover rota for absent staff and contacting teaching supply agencies to arrange supply staff. In periods where cover is not required you will support in the classroom as directed.
The post would ideally suit an individual considering a teaching career, but applications are welcome from any candidate with integrity, imagination and energy for this rewarding role.
