Are you a qualified Counsellor looking for a rewarding role supporting young people with additional needs?

We are seeking an experienced Counsellor to provide therapeutic support to students aged 16\-25 with learning disabilities and complex needs, including Autism, ADHD, attachment difficulties and the effects of childhood trauma. Working within a specialist educational setting, you will deliver person\-centred and integrative counselling, helping students develop resilience, confidence and emotional wellbeing.

About the Role

• Provide one\-to\-one counselling to students on both a short and longer\-term basis.


• Support students with a range of issues including anxiety, stress, bereavement, self\-esteem and personal development.


• Produce professional reports and maintain accurate records.


• Refer students to appropriate internal and external support services.


• Deliver training and guidance to staff where appropriate.


• Work collaboratively with education and support teams to promote positive outcomes for students.

About You

• Qualified Counsellor with membership of a relevant professional body.


• Experience working with young people with SEND, learning disabilities and complex needs.


• Skilled in person\-centred and integrative counselling approaches.


• Strong communication, interpersonal and report\-writing skills.


• Committed to CPD, safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
