Corporate Tax Assistant Manager

Role: Corporation Tax Advisor / Manager.

Location: Ideally Brighton, Haywards Heath or Bexhill, with flexibility on other office locations.

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30, with lunch taken between 13:00 - 14:00. Alternative working patterns may be considered.

Pay: From £48,000, depending on role, experience and qualifications.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Corporation Tax Advisor / Manager to join one of our longstanding clients, an established and highly regarded accountancy firm, across Brighton, Haywards Heath, Bexhill or another flexible office location.

The Requirements:

• Ideally CTA/ACA qualified, or a finalist with circa four years' experience in accounting and tax within an accountancy firm


• Strong problem-solving and technical skills


• Awareness of contentious tax issues, with the ability to identify risks for complex clients


• Exposure to large and high-risk level clients is essential


• Experience using IRIS would be highly desirable

The Role:

• Working as part of the Corporation Tax team, providing advice and reviewing complex/high-risk areas for a range of client types, including large group international organisations, sole traders, limited companies and some listed clients


• Carrying out technical research to check the tax treatment of one-off transactions, R&D, CIR, capital allowances and group interactions


• Supporting different teams across the wider group with corporate tax queries


• Maintaining and developing professional relationships with clients while managing workflow


• Reviewing compliance work drafted by junior colleagues
