Copywriter / Social Media Content Executive

Overview

We are a Midlands based Design \& Marketing company looking for a creative and organised Copywriter with a strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing industries. The role involves creating engaging content across multiple social media platforms, supporting marketing campaigns, and working closely with clients to plan content strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Write engaging and professional copy for social media, websites, email campaigns, and marketing materials


• Create content tailored to engineering and manufacturing audiences


• Manage and schedule content across social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X


• Attend fortnightly online planning meetings with clients to develop content calendars and campaign ideas


• Research industry trends, engineering topics, and relevant news to create content


• Work alongside sales and marketing teams to maintain consistent brand messaging


• Assist with promotional campaigns, product launches, exhibitions, and technical showcases


• Monitor engagement and suggest improvements to content performance


• Laison with media to discuss opportunities and preparation of suitable editorial content where required

• Strong copywriting and communication skills


• Good understanding of engineering, manufacturing, or industrial sectors


• Experience managing social media platforms and content scheduling tools


• Ability to create both technical and creative content


• Good organisational and planning skills


• Confident communicating directly with clients


• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines


• Basic knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools beneficial

• Previous experience within an engineering or technical marketing environment or within an agency servicing similar clients


• Understanding of CNC machining, tooling, manufacturing, or industrial products


• Photography or video editing experience an advantage

• Minimum 3 years experience
