Copywriter (Digital Marketing and SEO)
We're seeking a creative and commercially aware Copywriter to join our growing team at SM92\. As an end\-to\-end digital marketing agency with a strong presence in both the UK and USA, we partner with ambitious brands to create campaigns that don’t just perform, they build recognition, relevance, and lasting impact across niche and regulated sectors.
As a Midweight Copywriter at SM92, you will play a key role in shaping how our clients communicate across digital channels. This is a hybrid role combining SEO\-led content creation, brand\-led storytelling, and high\-converting social media copy. You’ll work closely with our performance, design, and client services teams to develop ideas and content that feel creatively strong, strategically aligned, and commercially effective.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice across all channels and sectors, including regulated industries such as healthcare.
- Write high\-quality, SEO\-optimised content including blogs, landing pages, and website copy aligned with client strategies.
- Create engaging and platform\-specific social media captions that support paid and organic campaigns.
- Collaborate with creative and performance marketing teams to ensure copy aligns with campaign objectives and conversion goals.
- Conduct keyword research and apply SEO best practices to improve search visibility and traffic.
- Work with designers and media buyers to develop cohesive creative concepts for ads and integrated campaigns.
- Contribute to brand development projects including tone of voice, messaging frameworks, and campaign concepts.
- Edit and refine copy to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
- Stay informed on cultural and content trends, SEO updates, audience behaviour, and platform and brand storytelling best practices.
- Support the development of content strategies that align with broader client marketing goals.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- 4\+ years’ experience in a copywriting or content role, ideally within a digital marketing agency.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating SEO content, blog writing, social media copy, brand\-led and campaign\-focused work.
- Solid understanding of SEO principles, keyword research, and content optimisation.
- Ability to write for performance, not just engagement, understanding what drives clicks, leads, and conversions.
- Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience writing across multiple tones of voice and industries.
- Familiarity with tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar is desirable.
- Ability to manage workload effectively in a fast\-paced environment.
- Understanding of compliance considerations (e.g. GDPR, healthcare advertising) is a bonus.
