The control systems department is located in the SEAONICS main office in Ålesund, providing tailored control, monitoring and simulation systems for the company's suite of handling equipment. Our focus includes advanced motion compensation, robotics and autonomous operations.

Duties and responsibilitiesThe control system team in Ålesund is the main hub for development of real time control systems for all SEAONICS handling equipment. The Control System Engineer/Senior Control System Engineer will take an active part in development and delivery of market leading technology in the marine environment.
Deliver control systems for advanced motion compensated equipmentContribute in developing the next generation solutionsModelling and simulationPreparation of specifications, manuals and other technical documentationQualificationsPhD/MSc/BSc degree in cybernetics, automation engineering, computer science, software engineering, mechatronics or similarCandidates without cybernetics and automation background should have 3-5 years of relevant work experience within these fields
Knowledge of programming languages (C++, ST, python, or similar)
Following competence is an advantage, but not required:
Craft certificate in relevant field (electrician, automation, etc.)Experience with VFD systems and instrumentationExperience with PLCExperience with user interface designRequirements engineeringExperience with source code control and hosting platforms such as Git / GitHub / BitbucketWe encourage recently graduates to apply for this position.
