Content Writer
Job Overview
We're looking for a talented and motivated content writer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for storytelling and a keen eye for detail. As a Content Writer, you'll be responsible for creating engaging, informative and high\-quality content across different platforms for various clients across our SEO agency. Your ability to conduct thorough research and fact\-checking will ensure that all written material is accurate and credible, making you an essential part of our content creation process.
Working hours:
*4 day working week*
Monday – Thursday: 8am–5pm or 9am–6pm
Please note you will be required full time at our office in Bromsgrove and need to be able to reliably commute.
Core Responsibilities
Primary:
- Research and produce high\-quality, original written content across a range of formats, including blogs, landing pages, product descriptions and case studies
- Write content that follows SEO best practices and adheres to content briefs provided by the SEO team
- Write content for new websites, working closely with the design and development teams
- Edit and proofread your own and others' work to ensure clarity and accuracy, keeping the tone tone that aligns with brand guidelines
- Adapt writing style to suit different clients, industries, and tones of voice
- Collaborate with SEO specialists and account managers to ensure content supports wider campaign goals
- Ensure all content is delivered accurately and on time, meeting the standards expected by clients and internal teams
- Use internal task management tools (e.g. Teamwork) to track progress and update task statuses as needed
- Log time accurately to reflect work done against client budgets
- Maintain a positive and proactive approach to communication and teamwork within the content department
- Assist in reviewing and refreshing existing content to improve SEO performance and relevance
- Implement client feedback in collaboration with Account Managers
- Conduct basic competitor content analysis to identify gaps and opportunities
- Support the development of internal content documentation and style guides
- Stay informed about the latest content and SEO trends and share insights with the team
- Provide basic on\-page SEO content, such as meta titles, descriptions and internal links
- Content writing experience is essential, with SEO\-crafted content writing being desirable
- Proven experience in creative writing, journalism or a related field
- Strong skills in fact\-checking and proofreading to ensure the accuracy of all content produced
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with word processing software and other digital tools for content creation
- Ability to adapt writing style based on audience needs and brand voice
- Previous experience in an agency environment is highly desirable
- A portfolio showcasing previous writing samples is highly desirable
Pay: £25,000\.00\-£32,000\.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
