Accountabilities
- Quality-check ocean freight contracts, rates, and surcharges populated by partners and AI systems, validating every entry against source rate sheets and tariffs.
- Process a consistent queue of contracts accurately and efficiently while following established QA procedures and documenting completed checks.
- Develop a strong understanding of ocean freight rates, contracts, and surcharges to identify inconsistencies and unusual data.
- Detect, investigate, and correct data errors before they reach customers, maintaining high standards of accuracy across the ocean content set.
- Communicate clearly with international vendor partners when corrections are required and follow issues through to resolution.
- Identify recurring error patterns and contribute to improvements in QA processes, controls, guidelines, and documentation.
- Use AI tools to streamline and strengthen quality assurance workflows, with opportunities to contribute to the development of new AI-supported processes.
- Maintain structured, consistent, and high-quality master data across the ocean freight content portfolio.
- Take ownership of assigned cases and continuously look for ways to improve efficiency and data quality.
Requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify small discrepancies in complex, structured information.
- Strong concentration and consistency when working through detailed documentation and high-volume workflows.
- Fluent written and spoken English, with confidence communicating with international partners and colleagues.
- Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills, combined with an interest in working with structured data.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned tasks, and maintain accuracy with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working in structured, high-volume operational environments where data quality is critical.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve productivity or complete professional tasks; experience building AI-supported solutions is a strong advantage.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to give and receive feedback constructively.
- A proactive, improvement-oriented mindset and willingness to experiment with new approaches and tools.
- Experience in ocean or air freight, logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, NVOCC operations, or carrier operations is a valuable advantage.
- Data-driven thinking, sound judgment, and the confidence to raise issues and support recommendations with evidence.
