Content & Marketing Lead

The Herd is a fast\-growing digital media agency helping ambitious brands grow through powerful advertising, data\-led strategy, and standout creative. We’re looking for a Content \& Marketing Lead to own our Evolve department, someone who lives and breathes content, social, and strategy, and is excited by the opportunity to shape a department that brings brands to life.
This role goes beyond content creation. We need someone who can lead the planning and delivery of campaigns, create engaging social content, and help drive the Evolve department forward commercially. You’ll be expected to spot opportunities, upsell to clients, and support new business growth while building strong relationships across the agency and with clients.
What you’ll be doing
- Creating high\-quality content across organic and paid social channels, from concepts and hooks through to copy, visuals, and basic edits.
- Planning and scheduling always\-on and campaign content, ensuring everything feels on\-brand and consistent.
- Leading the Evolve department day to day, helping shape its direction, output, and growth.
- Developing content strategy for clients and turning ideas into campaigns that perform.
- Supporting influencer and creator activity where relevant, including outreach, briefing, and review.
- Using performance data to spot trends, improve results, and shape next steps.
- Working closely with performance, creative, and leadership teams to test ideas and deliver stronger campaigns.
- Identifying opportunities to upsell services and help bring in new business.
- Experience creating content and social media campaigns for brands, ideally across Meta, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- A strong understanding of content strategy and how to create work that performs as well as it looks.
- Confidence leading projects, owning deadlines, and taking responsibility for department output.
- Commercial awareness, with the ability to spot opportunities to grow accounts and support upselling.
- Strong written English and a good instinct for what works on each channel.
- Experience with Canva, with basic Photoshop skills as a plus.
- A proactive, ambitious mindset and the confidence to lead by example.
- Base: Coventry, in\-office role.
- Salary: £33,000 \- £36,000 per year.
