Content Creator and Communications Manager

Business Description

Founded in 1860, Sunspel is a British luxury clothing brand known for timeless everyday essentials with a contemporary edge. Rooted in British manufacturing tradition, Sunspel has become one of the world’s most respected luxury essentials brands.

From its origins in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire, the brand has grown into a global business with 16 international retail stores and a leading wholesale presence across the UK, Europe, the United States, and Japan — a reach that continues to expand.

Despite challenging market conditions, Sunspel continues to outperform many of its competitors, delivering strong and profitable growth. Central to this success is a commitment to authentic storytelling — communicating the brand’s textile expertise, iconic products, and uncompromising approach to quality.

Job Overview

We are looking for a creative and commercially aware Content Creator and Communications Manager to join the Sunspel team.

This role will lead the creation of engaging content across multiple platforms while helping shape and strengthen the brand’s voice across digital channels, press, and wider communications. The successful candidate will combine strong creative instincts with excellent communication skills and a natural understanding of storytelling, culture, and audience engagement.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to help define how a modern British luxury brand communicates with an international audience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, produce, and curate compelling content across social media, website, email, press, and brand communications.

  • Manage and grow Sunspel’s social media presence through engaging content, audience development, and performance analysis.

  • Maintain a consistent and distinctive tone of voice across all communication channels.

  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure messaging aligns with brand strategy, campaigns, and product launches.

  • Build relationships with media, journalists, creators, and relevant cultural partners to support brand visibility and PR activity.

  • Monitor media coverage, audience engagement, and cultural trends to identify opportunities and inform communication strategy.

  • Organise and support events, launches, and campaigns that strengthen brand awareness and customer engagement.

  • Maintain an organised content calendar and manage multiple projects to deadline.

  • Stay informed about developments in fashion, culture, technology, and digital communication platforms.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in content creation, social media management, communications, or a related role.

  • A genuine interest in AI and emerging technologies, with an understanding of how they are shaping creativity, communication, and culture.

  • A natural communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Exceptional writing ability, with a talent for producing persuasive, engaging copy in a clear, natural tone of voice.

  • Strong understanding of brand communications, storytelling, and public relations.

  • Confidence using digital tools including content management systems, social media platforms, analytics tools, and design software.

  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Creative thinker with strong visual instincts and an eye for brand development.

  • Self\-motivated and comfortable working independently, while also contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.

  • A qualification in communications, marketing, or a related field is advantageous, but not essential.
This is an opportunity to join one of Britain’s most respected luxury brands at an exciting stage of growth, and to play a meaningful role in shaping how the brand communicates with audiences around the world.
