Consultant Psychiatrist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our mental health team. The successful candidate will provide expert psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning for a diverse patient demographic. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients, including for ADHD


• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy referrals


• Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to optimise outcomes


• Collaborate closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care


• Maintain accurate, detailed clinical documentation in accordance with legal and organisational standards


• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, and service development initiatives


• Engage in continuous professional development activities to stay abreast of advances in psychiatric practice

• Medical degree with full registration as a Consultant Psychiatrist with the General Medical Council (GMC) and medical indemnity


• Proven experience within a mental health setting is required


• Strong commitment to patient care with excellent communication skills


• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team


• Demonstrated competence in managing complex cases involving diverse mental health conditions


• Relevant specialist qualifications or certifications in psychiatry or related fields are essential.
