Consultant in Neuropsychiatry

A vacancy has arisen for a new consultant post in Neuropsychiatry. The post holder will provide the highest quality of assessment and treatment of a variety of neuropsychiatric disorders and provide a focus for service in Huntington’s disease and sleep disorders patients from age 18 onwards.

Assessment of patients and provision of specialist advice for Video Telemetry Unit (Vetiver Suite) will be involved alongside assessment, diagnosis and individualised treatment planning through appropriate care pathways for people who have a range of neuropsychiatric disorders including Huntington’s disease and sleep disorders.

The new post holder will need to work closely with existing Consultants with special interests in these conditions to develop the service further. The post is supported by extensive MDT provision including a clinical nurse specialists, occupational therapists, physiotherapist and gold standard investigative services. The post holder will also provide clinical leadership to the multi\-disciplinary teams.
