Consultant Emergency Medicine
At Blackpool Victoria Hospital we are looking to recruit Consultants in Emergency Medicine. We want great colleagues to join our expanding team. ED is a demanding but rewarding speciality and we all want to be able to work in a sustainable inclusive way.
To attract the right candidate and support them to do a great job we are offering the following:
7 : 3 DCC : SPA job plan as standard for full time staff
RCEM enhanced PA rates for out of hours DCC work.

The Emergency Department has undergone a full refurbishment as part of our Emergency Village project.
The Emergency Department includes separate facilities for children. Additionally, we have a co\-located Medical Assessment Centre, co\-located UTC and a frailty assessment unit that we have access to. We are supported onsite by access to the Regional Tertiary Cardiology \& Cardiothoracic services which are located on this site.

The Emergency Department at Blackpool Vic serves a unique population providing it’s own set of challenges. We are a Trauma Unit for Lancashire and South Cumbria Trauma network, but we are the Trauma Centre for patients with isolated penetrating thoracic trauma.
