Clinical Psychologist – Medico\-Legal Assessment Opportunities (Glasgow)

Are you an HCPC\-registered Clinical Psychologist looking for flexible, additional work that fits around your current commitments?

Medispec Ltd is seeking qualified Clinical Psychologists in and around Glasgow to undertake psychological assessments for medico\-legal cases on a self\-employed basis. This role offers complete flexibility, allowing you to manage your own workload and availability while receiving full administrative support from our experienced team.

About the Opportunity

• Self\-employed associate position


• £100 per completed assessment


• Majority of appointments conducted remotely


• Free of charge clinic set up for Inperson Assessments


• Flexible case allocation based on your availability


• No minimum hours or case requirements


• Free secretarial and administrative assistance


• Ongoing guidance and training available

Responsibilities

• Carry out psychological evaluations for medico\-legal purposes


• Interview and assess clients presenting with a range of psychological symptoms


• Review relevant records and supporting documentation


• Provide clear and professional clinical opinions


• Attend occasional face\-to\-face clinics when required

Essential Requirements

• HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist


• Professional indemnity insurance in place


• Current ICO registration


• Enhanced DBS certificate issued within the last 3 years


• Ability to attend local face\-to\-face appointments on an occasional basis


• Working knowledge of PTSD, trauma\-related conditions, and common mental health disorders

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience preparing medico\-legal reports


• Previous work within personal injury or civil litigation cases


• Knowledge of anxiety disorders, depression, adjustment difficulties, and trauma presentations


• Strong report\-writing and communication skills
