Construction Operations Coordinator
Construction Operations Coordinator
All Pipe Services Ltd – Sittingbourne, Kent
Part\-time \| Monday – Friday \| Approx. 9:00am – 2:30pm
£25,500 – £27,500 per annum depending on experience and knowledge
All Pipe Services Ltd is a growing commercial mechanical and pipework contractor working across London and the South East.
We are looking for an experienced, organised and proactive Construction Operations Coordinator to join our team in Sittingbourne.
This is a newly created position and deliberately a varied one.
Rather than looking for someone to fill a narrow administrative role, we are looking for someone who can work alongside our management, project and site teams and help coordinate many of the day\-to\-day commercial, operational and compliance tasks involved in running our projects.
The role would particularly suit somebody with previous experience within Construction, Mechanical Services, M\&E, Plumbing, Building Services or a Specialist Subcontractor Environment.
The role
No two days will necessarily be the same, but responsibilities are likely to include:
- Maintaining project Health \& Safety and compliance records, including RAMS and Toolbox Talks
- Monitoring live projects to ensure the correct documentation is in place and chasing outstanding information from project and site teams
- Maintaining and developing our library of standard RAMS and project documentation
- Assisting with the preparation and administration of variations and month\-end applications
- Taking information provided by engineers, supervisors and project managers and producing clear variation and pricing schedules
- Maintaining project variation registers and supporting commercial records
- Assisting with tendering and estimating, including setting up pricing schedules, obtaining supplier quotations and organising tender information
- Assisting with material procurement, purchase orders and supplier enquiries
- Chasing quotations, orders and deliveries where required
- Maintaining organised project files, registers and documentation
- Assisting our project and management teams with general operational and administrative requirements
- Helping us improve and simplify internal processes as the company continues to grow
Previous construction industry experience is strongly preferred, with experience in
Mechanical, Plumbing or M\&E Contracting particularly advantageous.
You do not need to be an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor or Health \& Safety professional. More important to us is that you understand how construction projects operate and are comfortable working with Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, Suppliers and Clients.
You will ideally be:
- Highly organised and able to manage several tasks at once
- Confident using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Comfortable working with schedules, project documentation and numerical information
- Confident chasing people for information when necessary
- Accurate and attentive to detail
- Commercially aware and interested in understanding project costs
- Comfortable taking ownership of tasks rather than waiting for constant instruction
- Keen to learn more about Mechanical and Pipework installations
- Someone who enjoys improving systems and finding better ways of doing things
Working hours
We envisage the role being approximately 9:00am – 2:30pm, Monday to Friday (27\.5 hours per week) from our Sittingbourne office.
However, we are happy to discuss some flexibility around working hours for the right person.
We believe the position could particularly suit an experienced construction professional looking for a role that fits around school hours or other commitments while still offering responsibility, variety and genuine career development.
Longer\-term opportunity
This isn't intended to be simply an administrative position.
All Pipe Services has grown significantly over recent years and we want the successful person to grow with us.
For someone capable and ambitious, there will be plenty of opportunity to take ownership of areas of the business and develop further into commercial, estimating, procurement, compliance, project coordination or operations as the role evolves.
We are therefore looking for someone who wants to become a valued long\-term member of the team rather than simply fill an administrative position.

Benefits:
- Casual dress
- Company pension
- Free parking
- On\-site parking
