Construction Labour & Account Manager
Construction Labour \& Account Manager
Location: Nottingham
Employment Type: Full\-Time
Employer: Core Group, working exclusively within Miller Knight
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Construction Labour Manager/Recruitment Account Manager to take ownership of the labour process for Miller Knight.
This is a little different from a traditional recruitment role. There are no sales involved and you won’t be expected to personally resource candidates. Instead, you’ll sit within Miller Knight and act as the link between our sites and our partnered agency, Core Search, who provide the labour and will be your employer.
Your job is to make sure we have the right people, in the right places, at the right time \- and that the whole process runs smoothly.
You’ll oversee labour requirements across our sites, working closely with Site Managers, Contracts Managers and the wider operational team, as well as Core’s resourcing team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Taking ownership of all labour requirements across Miller Knight sites.
- Acting as the main link between Miller Knight and Core Search, ensuring requirements are understood and delivered.
- Overseeing a workforce of up to 200 operatives, including labourers, storemen, fire cladders and other construction trades.
- Working closely with sites to understand current and future labour requirements.
- Attending our weekly Friday pipeline meeting to understand upcoming projects, locations and likely trade requirements.
- Proactively working with Core’s resourcing team to build candidate pools for upcoming projects, rather than waiting for requirements to become urgent.
- Using Core’s ATS and existing candidate database to identify suitable potential workers, alongside new candidates sourced by Core’s resourcing team.
- Helping Core understand what good looks like for Miller Knight, from skills and experience through to attitude, reliability and overall fit.
- Keeping candidate pools organised by trade, location, availability and suitability.
- Overseeing onboarding, compliance, right\-to\-work checks, timesheets and general labour processes.
- Building strong relationships with our sites and making sure any issues are picked up and resolved quickly.
- Looking at the current process and bringing your own ideas to make it simpler, smoother and more effective.
You could currently be working as a Recruitment Account Manager, Onsite Recruitment Manager, Labour Manager, Construction Recruitment Consultant or similar, ideally within temporary construction labour.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Understands construction and the demands of site labour.
- Is highly organised and comfortable managing lots of moving parts.
- Enjoys the fast\-paced nature of temporary labour.
- Is proactive and likes planning ahead rather than constantly reacting.
- Is confident managing relationships with clients, sites and recruitment teams.
- Has good judgement when it comes to people and genuinely cares about putting the right person into the right environment.
- Is comfortable using an ATS and working with a resourcing team to build candidate pools.
- Is a problem solver who will take ownership rather than wait to be told what to do.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the people, organisation and operational side of recruitment, but doesn't want the sales pressure that often comes with it.
You’ll be fully embedded within Miller Knight, getting to know our projects, our people and what we stand for, with the autonomy to make the role your own and develop the labour process as we grow.
Core Search’s resourcing team will be there to source the candidates \- you’ll own the relationship, the process, the planning and the quality.
Competitive salary and benefits package, with the opportunity to grow with the business.
Pay: £40,000\.00\-£45,000\.00 per year
Benefits:
- Company pension

- On\-site parking
