Construction Estimator

Salary £55,000\+ dependant on experience

DRB Building Limited is a growing UK construction company specialising in domestic projects, including new builds, extensions, refurbishments, and high\-quality residential works. Due to continued growth, we’re looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our team and play a key role in the next stage of the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants responsibility, variety, and the chance to grow with a developing company rather than being a small cog in a large corporate machine.

The Role

Please only apply if you have significant experience in construction estimating and can accurately price projects from architectural drawings.

As our Estimator, you will take responsibility for pricing and tendering work across the business, as well as managing project costs and procurement for domestic construction projects. You will work closely with directors, site managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Pricing all works including New Builds, Extensions and Renovations.


• Negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers.


• Producing and managing bills of quantities and tender enquiries.


• Monitoring project costs, margins, and cash flow.


• Managing variations and assisting with final accounts.


• Identifying cost\-saving opportunities.

About You

We’re looking for someone practical and organised with experience in the domestic construction sector.

You must have:

• Experience in Quantity Surveying


• Ability to read technical drawings


• Strong understanding of domestic construction methods and costs


• Good negotiation and supplier management skills


• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills


• Ability to work independently within a small team environment
