Your next role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Community Equipment Stock Control Lead, your role would involve, supervising a small team, organising and monitoring the performance of stock within the team. Ensuring that work is undertaken in line with policies and procedures. You will process routine stock control work as required, to assist the management of staff and workflow in the community equipment stores. Ensuring that stocks are ordered, issued and sent accurately.

In addition, you will stock manage medical devise used by the Clinical Teams in the community, ensuring that the equipment is available and fit for purpose.

Other responsibilities include, providing the best value for money, while maintaining accurate stocks levels. Building good working relationships with suppliers, reporting stock delays and producing monthly reports to identify stock lines and to support the Operational Lead in audit reports.

You will Represent Swindon Borough Council, Community Equipment Stores when working in all aspects of tender processes when sourcing new stock lines.

About you

You must have excellent numeracy and literacy skills, Knowledge of working in a busy distribution environment, experience of good distribution practice, guidance and quality standards. You will need experience of supervising, directing organising and monitoring performance in a high\-pressured environment.

A CIPS Level 3 or equivalent would be an advantage.

You must hold a full clean driver’s licence.

You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer\-facing role”).
