Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Community Care Assistant with a valid driving licence to join our team. This role involves providing personalised care and support to individuals within their own homes, promoting independence and wellbeing. The position is suitable for female applicants only, and please note that a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) is not available for this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and maintaining effective communication with care teams.
Duties
- Providing personal care and support to clients in their own homes, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Supporting clients with daily routines such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and light domestic tasks.
- Assisting with transportation to appointments or social activities using a company vehicle.
- Developing and following personalised care plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in client condition to supervisors.
- Building trusting relationships through respectful and empathetic communication.
- Ensuring health and safety protocols are adhered to at all times during visits.
- Valid driving licence with clean driving record; experience in driving within the community is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous.
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, for clear communication with clients and team members.
- Basic IT skills for updating records and documentation electronically.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen attentively and respond compassionately.
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently whilst following organisational policies.
