Salary: £45,000 \- £55,000 per annum (depending on experience) \+ Company Vehicle \+ Overtime \+ Quarterly Performance Bonus

We work alongside leading Facilities Management providers, universities, local authorities and commercial clients across London and the Home Counties.

Our teams deliver reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance, mechanical and electrical installations, refurbishment projects and specialist works across a wide range of commercial and institutional environments.

As we continue to secure new contracts and expand our mechanical division, we are looking for an experienced Commercial Plumbing \& Heating Engineer to join our growing team.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to become a key part of Bourneside's mechanical services growth strategy.

You will carry out a variety of commercial plumbing, heating and gas works across our maintenance and project portfolio while helping us develop our gas capability and support the future training of apprentices within the business.

The role offers a varied workload across universities, commercial buildings, public sector facilities and FM\-managed environments.

Typical Duties

  • Commercial plumbing installations and repairs

  • Heating system maintenance and installations

  • Commercial gas servicing, maintenance and repairs

  • Pipework installations and modifications

  • Plant room maintenance and upgrades

  • Pump, valve and mechanical equipment replacements

  • Reactive maintenance and fault finding

  • Small works and project delivery

  • Surveying and identifying remedial works

  • Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior engineers

  • Ensuring all works are completed safely and in accordance with current regulations
Essential Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 Plumbing \& Heating (or equivalent)

  • Current ACS Gas Qualifications

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Commercial plumbing and heating experience

  • Strong fault\-finding and problem\-solving skills

  • Good communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Desirable Qualifications \& Experience
  • Commercial gas experience

  • Plant room experience

  • LTHW heating systems experience

  • Experience within Facilities Management environments

  • Unvented Hot Water Qualification

  • CSCS or Skillcard

  • Experience supervising apprentices or junior engineers
