Job Title: Commercial Manager (Residential Children’s Care)

Salary: up to £60,000
Hours: Full\-time, 37\.5 hours per week

As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our residential services and are excited to be opening our first specialist school in September. This marks a significant milestone for the organisation as we continue to develop integrated services that support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes across care and education.
About the Role
This is a high\-impact, outward\-facing role for someone who thrives on relationships, opportunity spotting and making things happen. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in driving occupancy across our homes, supporting the launch and growth of our new school, developing strategic partnerships with local authorities, and identifying opportunities that support sustainable business growth across the wider Northridge Group.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with commissioners, placement teams, SEND teams, education professionals and other key stakeholders, ensuring Northridge remains a trusted provider of high\-quality residential care and educational services.
Key responsibilities include:
· Developing and delivering Northridge's commercial growth strategy across residential care and education services.
· Building and maintaining senior relationships with local authorities, commissioners, SEND teams and key sector stakeholders.
· Identifying new business opportunities, partnerships and expansion opportunities.
· Leading on strategic engagement with commissioners to increase market presence and support sustainable growth.
· Overseeing occupancy and referral performance, providing direction and support to the Referrals Team.
· Supporting the launch, growth and commercial success of Northridge's new specialist school.
· Leading on tender opportunities, framework applications and commercial negotiations.
· Providing market intelligence, competitor analysis and strategic recommendations to the Executive Team.
· Representing Northridge at regional and national networking events, conferences and commissioning forums.
· Working collaboratively with operational and education leaders to align growth plans with service delivery and quality outcomes.
What we're looking for:
· Proven experience in a commercial, business development, commissioning, placements or growth\-focused role within residential children's care and education or a related sector.
· Strong understanding of local authority commissioning processes, placement pathways and SEND funding arrangements.
· Experience building and managing relationships with commissioners, local authorities and external stakeholders.
· Commercially minded with a track record of identifying and delivering growth opportunities.
· Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends.

· Competitive salary of up to £60,000 per annum.
