Job Overview
We are seeking a commercially driven and results\-oriented Commercial Manager to lead strategic initiatives that support business growth, revenue generation, and market expansion. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing commercial strategies, managing key client relationships, negotiating contracts, and identifying new business opportunities. Working closely with cross\-functional teams, the Commercial Manager will contribute to improving profitability, strengthening market position, and achieving the organisation’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement commercial strategies and business plans aligned with organisational objectives to support revenue growth and profitability.
- Manage and develop key client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long\-term business partnerships.
- Lead negotiations for contracts, commercial agreements, partnerships, and business opportunities, ensuring commercially favourable terms.
- Identify new markets, emerging trends, customer requirements, and potential business opportunities to support market expansion.
- Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to coordinate commercial activities and improve overall business performance.
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators, including revenue, sales performance, profit margins, customer growth, and market performance.
- Analyse market trends, financial information, and commercial data to support informed strategic decision\-making.
- Prepare business proposals, commercial reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and key stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Lead, support, and mentor commercial team members, setting objectives and monitoring performance to achieve departmental and organisational targets.
- Review existing commercial processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and competitiveness.
- Keep abreast of industry developments and changing market conditions, adapting commercial strategies where necessary.
- Proven experience in commercial management, business development, sales, marketing, or a related management position.
- Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing commercial strategies that contribute to business growth.
- Strong negotiation and contract\-management skills, with the ability to develop mutually beneficial commercial agreements.
- Excellent analytical and financial skills, with the ability to interpret market information, financial data, and performance indicators.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with clients, senior management, and other stakeholders.
- Proven leadership and team\-management abilities, including experience motivating and developing team members.
- Ability to identify commercial opportunities and respond effectively to changing market conditions.
- Strong organisational and project\-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Management, or a related discipline is preferred; relevant professional or advanced qualifications would be an advantage.
