The Role
This is a hands\-on commercial role combining operational oversight with business performance, customer management and strategic input.
You will take ownership of key commercial activities—ensuring orders are delivered efficiently, supporting account growth, and identifying opportunities to improve revenue and margin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end\-to\-end order process, ensuring efficiency, accuracy and on\-time delivery
- Manage and develop relationships with key customers
- Monitor commercial performance (sales, margins, order trends) and provide insights
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, profitability and service delivery
- Support and contribute to commercial strategy and business growth initiatives
- Work closely with sales, operations and production teams
- Assist with contract management and commercial negotiations
- Lead and support the commercial/admin team, driving performance and accountability
- Use ERP systems to track performance and support decision\-making
- Experience in a commercial, sales operations, or account management role
- Strong commercial awareness (understanding of revenue, margins, performance)
- Excellent organisational and problem\-solving skills
- Confident communicator with strong relationship\-building ability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast\-paced environment
- Experience using ERP/CRM systems and Excel
- Experience in manufacturing, textiles or product\-based business
- Previous team leadership or mentoring experience
- Interest in outdoor products
- Education: Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 2\-3 years of experience in a commercial or similar role. Experience in a related sector is a plus but not required.
- Strong planning and project management abilities.
- Effective leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic negotiation and contract management knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CRM software is a bonus.
- Strong problem\-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- A team player with good leadership qualities.
