Hours: Typically 8:00am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Jobs and travel may occasionally run over.
About the Role
WPTR Ltd is a growing, family\-run business looking for an experienced Commercial Catering Engineer to join our team.
You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial catering equipment at customer sites.

What You'll Be Doing
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial catering equipment.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs.
- Attending customer sites and completing work to a high standard.
- Completing job sheets and service documentation.
- Completing gas safety/service documentation.
- Reading parts manuals and technical information.
- Identifying and ordering parts where required.
- Providing professional customer service.
- Maintaining company tools, equipment and vehicle.
- Working safely and in accordance with relevant industry standards.
- COMCAT 1, 3 and 5\.
- 3 years' commercial gas engineering experience, ideal but not essential.
- Strong experience servicing and repairing commercial catering equipment.
- Ability to read parts manuals and technical documentation.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Professional approach to customers and colleagues.
- Based in Yorkshire.
- No criminal record, as some customer sites require background checks and vetting.
- Electrical qualification/competency desirable. Additional electrical training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Starting salary from £42,000 per year.
- Genuine salary progression as your skills, experience and responsibilities develop.
- Good engineers will have the opportunity to increase their salary significantly.
- Door\-to\-door paid travel.
- Overtime paid at 1\.5x your normal rate after 8 hours.
- Weekend and additional overtime available.
- Jobs and travel can occasionally run over the normal working day, with additional time paid as overtime.
- Overtime is generally optional.
- Brand\-new company van.
- All tools provided, including gas analyser/meter and specialist equipment.
- High\-quality uniform and workwear provided.
- No on\-call rota.
- Optional weekend work.
