Overview

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Commercial Catering Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of catering equipment across a range of customer sites including restaurants, hotels, schools, pubs, care homes, and industrial kitchens.

This is a field\-based role requiring strong fault\-finding skills, technical knowledge, and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be self\-motivated, organised, and capable of working independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Service and maintain commercial catering equipment, including Rational appliances.


• Install and commission commercial catering equipment, including Rational appliances.


• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).


• Complete service reports and relevant documentation accurately.


• Respond to breakdown call\-outs in a timely and professional manner.


• Ensure all work complies with health \& safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.


• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and stock levels.


• Build positive relationships with customers and provide excellent service.

• Experience working on catering equipment, including Rational appliances.


• Strong fault\-finding and diagnostic skills.


• Knowledge of gas and electrical systems.


• Full UK driving licence.


• Good communication and customer\-service skills.


• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

• COMCAT 1, 3, and 5 qualifications.


• Gas Safe registration.


• Electrical qualifications (such as CCEECC).


• Rational training courses.

• Reliable and punctual.


• Problem\-solving mindset.


• Flexible and adaptable.


• Strong attention to detail.


• Able to work under pressure in fast\-paced environments.
