Role Summary A growing independent brokerage is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Account Executive to support its continued expansion across South Wales. This opportunity would suit a relationship-led insurance professional with a proven ability to win, retain and grow commercial clients, alongside a transferable book of business post-covenant.
Working closely with an established business development function, you’ll have the opportunity to develop new business opportunities, strengthen your regional market presence and build long-term client relationships. The business can also offer genuine long-term progression opportunities as the team continues to evolve.
Key Responsibilities • Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial clients across a range of sectors
- Develop new business opportunities throughout the South Wales market
- Transition and grow a transferable book of business post-covenant
- Work closely with Business Development colleagues on joint opportunities and client meetings
- Build strong long-term relationships with clients and insurer partners
- Identify opportunities to develop specialist or niche market expertise
- Maintain a profitable and sustainable portfolio through effective client management
- Strong track record of winning and developing commercial clients
- Experience managing face-to-face client relationships
- Demonstrable transferable book of business post-covenant
- Commercially astute with a strong understanding of portfolio growth and profitability
- Strong knowledge of the South Wales insurance market would be advantageous
