Shop Manager, Bishop’s Stortford

Salary: Up to £35,000, depending on experience
Hours: 44 hours per week, flexible across Monday to Sunday. No late nights.

Lead our new shop in Bishop’s Stortford

Are you an experienced hospitality manager who enjoys leading a team, building customer relationships and running a busy coffee shop?

We’re looking for a hands\-on Shop Manager to lead our new Bishop’s Stortford store. You’ll manage a team of 10, take ownership of day\-to\-day operations and help make the shop a favourite with local customers.

What you’ll do

• Lead, support and develop a team of 10, including an assistant manager and team leaders.


• Take responsibility for weekly sales targets, manage costs and use your understanding of profit and loss to drive results.


• Set clear standards for customer service, keeping the shop welcoming, organised and running smoothly.


• Work alongside your team on the floor, handling busy periods and solving problems as they arise.


• Recruit and train your team ahead of launch, then support their development as the shop grows.


• Build relationships with regular customers and help new visitors feel welcome.


• Manage stock and HR systems, keeping the operational side of the business organised.

• You have experience managing a restaurant, coffee shop or café, with a track record of leading people and delivering results.


• You’re comfortable taking ownership, making decisions and staying calm under pressure. You understand sales targets, staffing costs and the numbers behind a successful shop.


• You lead by example and bring warmth, energy and a practical approach to your work.


• You live locally to Bishop’s Stortford, ideally within a 30 minute drive, and understand the importance of building strong local relationships.

• Keep your evenings. The shop opens early and closes at a sensible time, with no late\-night service.
