Coffee Bar Manager, speciality coffee

We're on the look\-out for a really great manager to come and run our boutique coffee bar in King's Cross and manage our small team of coffee lovers.
This role is perfect for someone looking to take ownership of a speciality coffee shop, flex their professional muscles and try out new ideas that improve sales and customer experience. With consistent 5\-star google reviews, we're one of the highest rated coffee shops in King's Cross. We keep our focus on quality coffee and great service, and offer a high\-end coffee experience, despite being inside one of London's busiest stations. We're about to update our brand with a new visual identity, so it's a great time to join our team as the company enters its next stage of growth.
The role
Oversee all coffee bar operations – You'll be making coffee and serving customers during the rush, then focused on daily tasks, maintaining processes and improving systems. This isn't about you doing everything, but delegating tasks and managing our lovely team to help deliver the vision and standards set by the directors.
Help shape our coffee programme – Suggesting origins and profiles, joining cuppings and roasting sessions, and working with head barista to manage stock levels and oversee quality of the coffee we serve.
Drive growth and improvements – as part of the management team, we'll value your fresh ideas around customer experience, product development and revenue growth to help our coffee bar reach its full potential.
Staff management – training, monitoring performance, scheduling, delegating tasks, and ensuring staff are clear on company values, operations and culture.
Health and safety – food hygiene, allergens, equipment maintenance, landlord compliance
Equipment maintenance – pre\-empt issues and deal with problems as they arise.
Profit and loss – Review shop’s KPIs in relation to cost of sales, staff and other expenses, and make adjustments to ensure healthy P\&L.

About you
You have a genuine interested in coffee and love for hospitality.
You are kind, full of good energy and great with people.
You are responsible, organised, punctual, clean and tidy, with great attention to detail and you lead by example.
You've worked in speciality coffee for at least three years.
You can commit to 40 hours a week, including some weekends each month, and mornings are not an issue for you; you bring positive energy, even at 6am!

We run a boutique coffee bar in King’s Cross station with growing reputation of consistently good coffee and great service. We roast our own coffee beans too – which we sell online, in\-store and to a small selection of wholesale clients.
