CNC Machinist
Ensinger Machined Parts Limited is part of the Ensinger UK Machining Division. We are market leaders in the manufacture of precision machined plastic components. We are a key supplier into some of the UK’s leading medical, life science, aerospace, Formula 1 and technology companies. The advertised salary for this CNC Machinist role includes a 15% shift allowance, reflecting the shift pattern required for this position. This structure ensures a competitive package for candidates willing to work within our established shift system, however we will consider candidates wanting to work day shifts that will not include the 15% shift pattern.
The salary range focuses on finding the right candidate, using our skills banding to support with placing you in the right skills band. We are looking for skilled CNC Machinists with experience working on a variety of machines and systems, including Integrex, Nexus Mill, MSY Turn, Autos, Alpha 2\-axis, Nexus Mill 3\+2 and 2\-axis Mazak. Candidates should have a strong background in programming, setting and operating CNC machinery, with specific experience in multi\-axis machining, mill\-turn systems, and complex setups such as Nexus Mill 3\+2 configurations. Familiarity with CNC turning, milling, and the ability to work across different machine types will be a distinct advantage. We are also interested in candidates with experience in programming \& setting CNC machines independently and ensuring high precision in machining operations.
Working in a fast paced environment, the ideal candidate must have a background in either CNC Milling or CNC Turning. The ability to work from Engineering drawings is desired, as is knowledge and experience of programming on CNC Machines preferably Mazatrol control systems.
We are looking for skilled machinists and will consider candidate who are looking to relocate within the UK. Unfortunately, at this stage we are not in a position to accept applicants that do not have the right to work within the UK.
Hours of Work:
- Day Working of 8 hours per day, between the hours of 06:00hrs \- 17:00hrs with reduction of 15% on above mentioned salary
- Two shift pattern: Shift Pattern 1: Monday to Thursday 6\.00am – 2\.30pm, Friday 6am \- 12pm. Shift Pattern 2: 2 Monday \- Thursday 2:30pm \- 11pm, Friday 12pm \- 6pm and includes a 15% Shift Allowance.
- Compressed 4 day working week at 40 hours per week, for day work only in line with operational needs of the business.
To set and run machines in which you are trained to do so, ensuring maximum production is achieved to quality standards, while also inspecting parts produced, notifying of any areas of concern. Adjust set ups/alter programmers sharpen tools as and when required, ensuring that maximum production is achieved.
Main Responsibilities \& Accountabilities:
- Communicate with Team Leaders or Supervisors regarding any issues relating to production, including informing them of parts not meeting tolerance specifications.
- Support operators in machine setups, particularly with complex systems such as Integrex, Nexus Mill, MSY Turn, and 2\-axis Mazak.
- Work effectively and efficiently, making precise machine adjustments as and when required to ensure optimal performance.
- Operate and maintain a variety of CNC machines, including multi\-axis and mill\-turn configurations, while adhering to production schedules.
- Ensure work aligns with the company's quality system, including on\-the\-job self\-inspection to maintain high standards.
- Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to meet production goals and comply with all reasonable requests.
- Assist in the training and development of apprentices, sharing expertise and best practices for CNC machining and setups.
- Comply with all safety standards and procedures, ensuring the health and safety of all personnel within the production department in line with the Group Health and Safety policy.
- Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping standards at all times to promote a safe and efficient working environment.
- Provide expertise in setting and operating a wide range of CNC machinery, including Nexus Mill 3\+2, Autos, and Alpha 2\-axis systems.
- Ensure proper use of tools and programming techniques to produce high\-precision components.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance production efficiency and quality.
- Stay updated with advancements in CNC machining technology and methods to maintain industry\-leading practices.
