Clinical Research Coordinator

Research Assistant \- Dublin 15

This position is on an initial six month contract, with a possibility that it could become a permanent position.

Previous experience of working within clinical research is essential.

MAIN PURPOSE:

The research assistant will work under the direction of the PI and research nurse/coordinator in assisting with the daily conduct of clinical trials/investigations.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct clinical research activity to a high standard in accordance with clinical research regulation and protocols under the direction of the research nurse/coordinator and the PI.


• Contribute to the recruitment of suitable study participants under the supervision of the PI.


• Under the direction of the research nurse/coordinator assist with the day\-to\-day processes of multiple research studies in accordance with the clinical trial protocol, applicable regulations and GCP.


• Process, label, store and transport biological samples according to trial requirements.


• Complete timely collection and entry of trial data.


• Provide administrative and operational support to the clinical research team.


• Maintenance of the Investigator site file as per GCP requirements.


• Any other duties assigned commensurate to this level of post.

The post holder requires

• Certificate in a medical, biomedical or scientific area or equivalent and relevant experience in clinical research or healthcare.


• Phlebotomy experience is highly desirable


• Good organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.


• Strong communicator with an ability to develop relationships.


• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and to demonstrate initiative.

• Clinical research experience


• Excellent IT skills
