About us: St James’s Hospital is Ireland’s largest acute academic teaching hospital and is based in Dublin’s south inner city. Our fundamental purpose is the delivery of health treatment, care and diagnosis as well as health promotion and preventative services at local, regional and national levels. Purpose of the role: The post holder will provide patient\-centred guidance, support, and co\-ordination throughout the cancer care continuum. They will operationalise the Cancer Navigation model, supporting patients in head and neck cancer pathways. Through timely access to care, psychosocial needs assessments, and connections to appropriate services across hospital, community, and voluntary sectors.
