About us: St James’s Hospital is Ireland’s largest acute academic teaching hospital and is based in Dublin’s south inner city. Our fundamental purpose is the delivery of health treatment, care and diagnosis as well as health promotion and preventative services at local, regional and national levels. Purpose of the role: Mount Carmel Hospital is a surgical hub on the south side of Dublin under the clinical governance of St. James's Hospital.
This hub consists of 2 day\-theatres and 2 minor operation theatres covering a wide variety of specialties.
The post holder will be responsible for the education and development of nursing staff, by means of in\-service training, orientation of new staff and by arranging the clinical experience and supervision of the nursing team.
