About the role

We are looking for a Clinical Associate Professor/Honorary Consultant in Obstetrics and Maternal Medicine, and the successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to join Professors Anna David, Dimitrios Siassakos and Sara Hillman to provide additional academic leadership within the UCL Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Institute for Women's Health, working with colleagues based in the Women’s Health Division at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. A medical degree and proven experience in maternal medicine, including pregnancy diabetes, cardiometabolic and liver disease are essential. A PhD or equivalent professional qualification is also required
About you

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in maternal medicine research, data\-driven risk prediction and genomics, and will contribute to building a genomics\-enabled maternal medicine research group. A core focus will be translation into NHS pathways through the development and evaluation of integrated clinical–genetic risk tools for pregnancy and postnatal prevention. The post\-holder will also drive work to reduce ethnic and socioeconomic inequalities in maternal health outcomes. They will need to show evidence of independent and original contributions to the research and Publications in internationally journals on topics mentioned in the Job Description. This role requires a PhD or equivalent professional qualification, as well as a medical degree and proven experience in maternal medicine, including pregnancy diabetes, cardiometabolic and liver disease.

Salary would be on the first point of the NHS Clinical Academic (Honorary Consultant) grade: £109,726 plus LW £2162 per annum.
