THE ROLE
We are looking for a Cleanroom Cleaner to join our team producing food supplements for the rapidly growing health \& wellness market, based at our site in Coggeshall, Essex. Start date would be immediate and the role will be permanent.
The role is primarily to carry out scheduled cleaning and disinfection activities within cleanrooms, production areas, changing rooms, airlocks, and associated controlled environments. All work is to be carried out in accordance with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements and the company’s SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). Staff will be working alongside a production team, so teamwork and the ability communicate effectively with others on site is of vital importance.
Duty and responsibilities include:
1\- Carry out scheduled cleaning and disinfection activities within cleanrooms, production areas, changing rooms, airlocks, and associated controlled environments.
2\- Follow approved SOPs, cleaning schedules, contamination\-control procedures, and GMP requirements at all times.
3\- Ensure all cleaning activities are performed using approved cleaning agents, disinfectants, equipment, and methods.
4\- Report any non\-conformity, contamination risk, equipment defect, incident, or safety hazard immediately.
5\- Take reasonable care of own and others safety and comply with all health, safety, environmental, and pharmaceutical safety requirements.
6\- Support the site's GMP, hygiene, and contamination\-control procedures and maintain high housekeeping standards throughout controlled areas.
7\- Complete all cleaning logs, records, checklists, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
8\- Assist with environmental monitoring, cleaning verification activities, and investigations relating to cleanliness or contamination events when required.
9\- Effectively and safely carry out duties including:
- Cleaning and disinfecting cleanroom floors, walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and surfaces.
- Cleaning production equipment exteriors, fixtures, furniture, and storage areas.
- Performing routine and periodic deep\-cleaning activities.
- Removing waste and used materials in accordance with site procedures.
- Restocking cleaning consumables and hygiene supplies.
- Wearing and maintaining appropriate cleanroom garments and PPE.
- Supporting line clearance and room preparation activities before production.
11\- Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required and appropriate to the role.
Experience and Qualification:
1\- GCSEs, A\-levels, or equivalent education.
2\- Previous experience in cleaning, manufacturing, healthcare, laboratory, pharmaceutical, or regulated environments.
Desired:
1\- Experience working within GMP cleanrooms or controlled environments.
2\- Understanding of contamination control, cleanroom procedures, and pharmaceutical hygiene requirements.
3\- GMP/HACCP, cleanroom, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic, or manufacturing experience.
