HGV CLASS 2 REFUSE COLLECTION DRIVER

Location: CO10, Sudbury

Pay: £15.52 per hour
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 06:30 - 15:00

The Role As a HGV Refuse Collection Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out daily refuse and recycling collections and operating relevant machinery.


• Working safely and professionally, using appropriate lifting and handling techniques.


• Supporting refuse loaders during your daily rounds to ensure routes are completed within the required service levels.


• Using in-cab technology and mobile devices as required.


• Completing relevant paperwork accurately and in real time.


• Carrying out daily vehicle and machinery inspections before and after use.


• Reporting any faults or issues with vehicles and equipment.


• Maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles and machinery.


• Maintaining excellent customer service and professional relationships with members of the public, clients and other road users.

What We Are Looking For • Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence with no more than 6 points.

• Valid Driver CPC.


• Good communication and interpersonal skills.


• Self-motivated and reliable.


• Willingness to undertake a variety of tasks.


• A clean or acceptable driving licence.


• Previous refuse collection or similar experience is desirable but not essential.


• Willingness to work as part of a team and assist refuse loaders when required.
