Job Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in a safe and compliant manner


• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks, reporting any defects promptly


• Transport goods to scheduled destinations while maintaining delivery times


• Follow all relevant UK driving regulations, company procedures, and tachograph rules


• Secure loads correctly and ensure vehicles are compliant before departure


• Plan routes effectively and manage driving hours in line with legal requirements


• Maintain accurate records, including delivery documentation and driver paperwork


• Provide a professional service to customers and site staff at collection and delivery points


• Adhere to health and safety standards, including safe loading/unloading practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence


• Valid Driver CPC qualification


• Valid digital tachograph card


• Strong knowledge of UK road transport legislation and drivers' hours/tachograph compliance


• Experience driving Class 1 vehicles with a strong safety-first mindset


• Good communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers and sites


• Ability to complete paperwork accurately and on time


• Good route awareness and planning skills


• Comfortable working to schedules and maintaining consistent performance
