Chief Executive Officer
LaunchPad Sports is looking for an entrepreneurial CEO to lead the next phase of our growth.
This is not a traditional employed leadership role. We are looking for a long\-term business partner who wants to help build and scale a modern sports and education organisation.
A key requirement of this role is that the successful candidate will invest into the company through the purchase of equity and become genuinely aligned with the long\-term growth of the business.
This opportunity is aimed at someone who wants ownership, responsibility and the opportunity to help shape a high\-growth organisation with a clear long\-term objective.
About LaunchPad Sports
LaunchPad has experienced rapid early growth across Yorkshire and is now entering its next stage of expansion.
The business operates across four key areas:
1\. School Clubs
Extra\-curricular sports provision delivered in primary schools including football, netball, gymnastics, dance and multi\-sports.
2\. PE Provision
Curriculum PE, PPA cover and sports enrichment programmes delivered in partnership with schools.
3\. Holiday Camps
Fun\-first multi\-sports and activity camps operating across multiple venues.
4\. Community Sport
LaunchPad Football Club, LP5, futsal, netball, early years pathways and weekend participation programmes.
The Opportunity
This role is focused on helping LaunchPad scale from a fast\-growing regional organisation into a nationally recognised grassroots sports and education brand.
Areas of focus include:
- Expanding school partnerships across the North
- Scaling community sports infrastructure
- Growing LP5, futsal and netball programmes
- Building systems, teams and operational structure
- Supporting long\-term strategic growth
- Developing LaunchPad into a highly valuable, scalable organisation
5\-Year Vision
LaunchPad’s long\-term strategy is to build one of the UK’s leading grassroots sports and school activity organisations through:
- Recurring school partnerships
- Scalable community programmes
- Structured participation pathways
- Strong regional infrastructure
- Multi\-location delivery models
We are therefore looking for someone who understands not only growth, but how to help build a business with long\-term enterprise value.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone entrepreneurial, commercially minded and growth\-focused who is excited by the opportunity to help scale a high\-potential organisation.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience growing businesses successfully
- Experience scaling operations, teams or multi\-site/service\-based organisations
- Experience leading businesses through a sale, acquisition or successful exit
- Strong understanding of growth strategy, operations and people
- The ability to combine strategic thinking with practical execution
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who wants to build long\-term value, not simply manage an existing business.
Why This Sector
Children’s sport, PE and activity provision remains one of the most resilient and stable sectors within the UK economy.
Demand for high\-quality childcare, physical activity and structured youth programmes continues to grow and is less exposed to many of the disruptions affecting other sectors, including rapid technological change and political uncertainty.
LaunchPad sits at the intersection of:
- Education
- Sport
- Community
- Child development
Equity \& Investment
This position is designed for someone seeking genuine involvement and ownership within a high\-growth business.
As part of the role, the successful candidate will be expected to purchase equity within LaunchPad Sports and become invested in the long\-term success of the company.
This is a key requirement of the position and forms part of the long\-term partnership approach behind the role.
We are looking for someone who wants to help build significant long\-term value alongside the existing leadership team with a shared objective of scaling the business over the next five years towards a successful future exit.
If you are excited by the opportunity to help scale one of the UK’s most ambitious grassroots sports organisations, we would love to hear from you.
