Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm – Weekend working, when required
Salary: £30,000–£38,000 per annum, depending on experience

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced CCTV, Intruder Alarm \& Access Control System Engineer to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys working with modern security technology and is confident working both independently and as part of a team.
The Role
As a Security Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance and fault\-finding of electronic security systems across residential and commercial sites.
The role is predominantly field\-based, with the successful candidate travelling to customer sites across the Midlands, Yorkshire and occasionally nationwide.
You will work directly with customers, colleagues and other site teams, ensuring that systems are installed to a high standard and operate reliably and in accordance with relevant NSI standards and codes of practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission CCTV, intruder alarm and access control systems
- Service, maintain and fault\-find existing security installations
- Diagnose and resolve technical, system and connectivity issues
- Configure security devices and associated network equipment
- Install and maintain IP\-based security systems and infrastructure
- Work professionally with customers and site teams
- Complete installation, commissioning and service documentation accurately
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a consistently high standard
- Manage your own workload effectively and prioritise urgent tasks
- Work independently while also contributing positively to the wider team
The successful candidate will have experience working with a range of electronic security technologies, including:
- Ajax intruder alarm systems – wired and wireless
- Hikvision CCTV systems
- Ajax CCTV systems
- Access control systems
- IP CCTV and networking infrastructure
- Network configuration and troubleshooting
- Security device configuration and commissioning
We are looking for an experienced, reliable and technically capable engineer who takes pride in their work and provides an excellent level of customer service.
Essential Experience \& Skills
- Previous experience installing, commissioning, servicing and maintaining electronic security systems
- Strong knowledge of Hikvision and Ajax systems
- Good understanding of IP CCTV and networking principles, including device addressing, connectivity, configuration and fault\-finding
- Experience working to NSI or SSAIB standards and relevant codes of practice
- Ability to diagnose faults and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Experience with electrical services
- Good customer\-facing and communication skills
- Competent using Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel
- Full UK driving licence
