Catering Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to join our team at one of our workplace restaurants in Sheffield S9 1DZ.

Wilson Vale is an established, quality\-led contract caterer. We work with amazing clients across the UK who place huge value on great food as a key part of their culture and community. We work in office restaurants, independent schools and at conference venues with the same high\-end ethos throughout.

This is a permanent role working 24 hours a week. You'll work 8 hours per day, 6:45am to 3:15pm, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual to assist our Chef Manager in delivering a world\-class breakfast service and global\-inspired lunch menus. From baking cakes and preparing fresh salads to helping design creative counter displays, you’ll play a key role in bringing flavours from every corner of the globe to our guests.

As a Catering Assistant, you’ll also help maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation throughout the kitchen and dining areas. You’ll interact with customers daily, providing friendly and professional service, while carrying out a variety of front\-of\-house and back\-of\-house duties. Working as part of a small team of two, you’ll help deliver breakfast and lunch services for up to 65 people each day, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for all our guests.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Have experience working in a similar role and environment


• Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high\-pressured environment


• Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety


• Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy


• Have excellent customer service and social skills


• Be responsible for the preparation and serving of food to staff


• Have a can do attitude and will work well as part of a team of 2


• Be customer focused


• Have basic food knowledge


• Be willing to participate and enjoy working part of the team
