*35 hours per week \| Monday–Friday (occasional weekends)*
*£28,574 per annum*
*Fixed Term until 31st March 2028; with possibility of extension*

We’re looking for a confident and capable Service Manager to provide strong strategic leadership across our Birmingham Carers Hub and support delivery in Sandwell.
This is a key leadership role for someone who can drive performance, shape service direction, and lead teams with clarity, consistency, and impact.
You will oversee Deputy Managers, hold overall accountability for service outcomes, and ensure high standards across quality, compliance, and customer experience.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the strategic direction and performance of the Carers Hub services
- Manage and develop Deputy Managers and senior staff
- Drive a positive, high\-performing team culture and strong staff morale
- Oversee KPIs, outcomes, safeguarding, and service quality
- Take senior responsibility for complex operational and staffing decisions
- Strengthen partnerships across statutory, voluntary, and community sectors
- Ensure full compliance with safeguarding, GDPR, and contractual requirements
- Use data and insight to continuously improve service delivery
A strong leader with:
- Experience managing managers or senior teams
- Ability to lead performance while maintaining motivation and morale
- Confidence handling complex operational and people challenges
- Background in health, social care, or information/advice services
- Strong communication, decision\-making, and partnership skills
- A values\-driven, people\-focused leadership style
- Leads from the front and sets clear expectations
- Builds motivated, accountable, and supported teams
- Balances compassion with performance management
- Thrives in a fast\-paced, multi\-stakeholder environment
This is a high\-impact leadership position where you will directly shape service quality, team culture, and outcomes for carers across Birmingham and Sandwell.
Pay: £28,574\.00 per year
