A care home cook prepares fresh, nutritious and appealing meals daily for our elderly residents ,also prepares snacks.

They must be able to tailor food to special dietary ,medical (eg texture modified)and cultural needs.

They must be able to maintain high kitchen hygiene adhering to HACCP ,food safety legislation and infection control standards .They will manage food stock levels, ordering when needed and rotating stock appropriately and remain within budget.

Within this role the candidate must be confident in planning varied menus, consulting with residents and staff to meet nutritional needs and preferences.

The care home cook will maintain accurate records for food safety and hazard analysis.

Pay: £13\.00 per hour
