Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday \+ Weekend availability when necessary
On\-call: 1 week in 4, outside normal office hours – with enhanced payment
Pay: £26,750
Windrush Care is looking for an organised, proactive and compassionate Care Coordinator to join our growing team.
This is a key role within our care management and operations team, helping to ensure that our clients receive safe, consistent and person\-centred care, while our care staff have the support and resources they need to deliver it.
The Role
As Care Coordinator, you will take responsibility for the day\-to\-day coordination of our care services, including:
· Developing and maintaining staff rotas, ensuring appropriate staffing across clients and shifts.
· Monitoring staffing levels, identifying shortfalls and coordinating rota changes at short notice.
· Supporting the delivery of safe, high\-quality care in accordance with care plans, risk assessments, legislation and company procedures.
· Monitoring changing client needs and escalating concerns appropriately.
· Coordinating our out\-of\-hours on\-call service, normally one week in four.
· Working closely with Field Care Supervisors, Senior Home Carers and the Care Management Team to maintain continuity of care.
· Overseeing staff spot checks and ensuring these are completed and recorded appropriately.
· Supporting client assessments, care plan and risk assessment reviews and the development of new care packages.
· Supporting recruitment, candidate screening, interviews and the onboarding of new staff.
· Assisting with staff supervisions, performance management and disciplinary processes where required.
· Working with the Finance Team to ensure staff hours, attendance and payroll information are accurate.
· Organising staff and team meetings, including agendas and meeting minutes.
· Building positive working relationships with clients, families, staff, community organisations and external agencies.
· Ensuring services remain compliant with relevant legislation, CQC requirements, professional standards and Windrush Care policies and procedures.
· To carry out care calls in case of sickness or annual leave, in support of the staff team.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
· Highly organised with excellent coordination and time\-management skills.
· Confident and approachable, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families and staff.
· Calm under pressure and able to make sensible decisions when staffing or care arrangements change unexpectedly.
· Committed to person\-centred care, dignity, safeguarding and the wellbeing of clients.
· Comfortable working with care staff, managing competing priorities and maintaining accurate records.
· Able to work collaboratively as part of a busy care management team.
· Knowledgeable about domiciliary care, care planning, safeguarding and relevant regulatory requirements.
· Experience would be advantageous in a senior care or care management environment.
Job requirements
· Must have a UK driving license and access to a vehicle for the purposes of work
· Must be resident in Gloucestershire, UK
· Experience in the Health and Social Care sector
