Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Care Assistant to join our team in providing high\-quality, person\-centred care to our clients. In this role, you will work directly with individuals who need support with daily living activities due to age, illness, or disability. Your primary goal will be to enable clients to live as independently, safely, and comfortably as possible, while always promoting their dignity and well\-being. Whether you are an experienced care professional or looking to start your career in care, a naturally empathetic and caring nature is the most vital qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Personal Care Support: Assist clients with daily personal hygiene routines, including bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, and toilet management with dignity and respect.

  • Mobility Assistance: Help clients move safely around their environment, utilizing mobility aids, hoists, and slide sheets in strict adherence to safe handling training.

  • Meal Preparation \& Nutrition: Assist with preparing nutritious meals and refreshments according to clients' dietary requirements and preferences. Provide support and encouragement with eating and drinking.

  • Medication Assistance: Help clients take prescribed medications safely, which may include prompting, administering from compliance packs, and accurately recording actions on the e\-MAR (electronic medication administration record) system

  • Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as needed

  • Background Checks: Must be willing to undergo an enhanced background check (e.g., DBS check).

  • Driving License (essential ): A valid driving license and access to a reliable vehicle is strongly preferred for community/domiciliary care roles.
