Care Assistant
Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high\-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well\-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in care settings or home care is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing valuable skills within the healthcare sector.
Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Supporting clients with medication management as per care plans
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
- Helping with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
- Assisting with light domestic tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Recording observations and updates on clients’ conditions in accordance with care plans
- Communicating effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals
- Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations at all times
- Driving clients to appointments or outings when required (where applicable)
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients
- Basic IT skills for recording notes and updating care plans digitally
- Driving licence is desirable for roles involving home visits or client outings
- Knowledge of care home procedures and home care practices is advantageous
- Organised, reliable, and able to follow detailed care plans accurately
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Pay: £12\.71\-£14\.00 per hour
