Care Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high\-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well\-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in care settings or home care is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility


• Supporting clients with medication management as per care plans


• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients


• Helping with meal preparation and feeding when necessary


• Assisting with light domestic tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment


• Recording observations and updates on clients’ conditions in accordance with care plans


• Communicating effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals


• Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations at all times


• Driving clients to appointments or outings when required (where applicable)

Skills

• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written


• Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients


• Basic IT skills for recording notes and updating care plans digitally


• Driving licence is desirable for roles involving home visits or client outings


• Knowledge of care home procedures and home care practices is advantageous


• Organised, reliable, and able to follow detailed care plans accurately


• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others


• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
