Care Assistant – Domiciliary Care

Duties

• Provide compassionate support with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility assistance


• Assist clients with medication reminders and ensure their safety within the home environment


• Develop and follow tailored care plans to meet individual needs and preferences


• Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent care delivery


• Use IT systems to document care activities accurately and update client records regularly


• Drive to clients’ homes using your own vehicle or company vehicle (if applicable), ensuring timely visits and reliable service


• Promote independence by encouraging clients to participate in activities suited to their abilities and interests

Qualifications

• Valid driving license with access to reliable transportation for home visits


• Experience working in a care home or providing domiciliary (home) care is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate


• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English


• Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate electronic records of care provided


• Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with clients and team members


• Knowledge of care plans and the ability to adapt support accordingly


• Compassionate attitude with a proactive approach to supporting individuals’ needs
