Care Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high\-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring residents' comfort, and promoting their independence. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised care and support.

Duties

• Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming


• Support individuals with mobility and transfer needs, ensuring safety at all times


• Help with meal preparation and feeding as required


• Follow care plans meticulously to meet each resident’s specific needs


• Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems


• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery


• Support residents in engaging with social activities and maintaining their well\-being


• Drive residents to appointments or outings when necessary, adhering to safety protocols

Experience

• Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided


• Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively


• Good IT skills for documentation purposes


• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written


• Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving transportation of residents or equipment


• Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals


• Drivers Licence and access to a car

Pay: £13\.80\-£14\.00 per hour
