Car Valeter/ Site Cleaner
We have an exciting new opportunity for someone to join us as a Valeter at our Accident Repair Centre in Tewkesbury.
ROLE TITLE: Valeter
REPORTING TO: Bodyshop Manager
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:
To ensure all customer and courtesy vehicles are cleaned, checked, and presented to a high standard in line with company expectations. The Valeter plays an important role in the final presentation of repaired vehicles, helping to reinforce customer satisfaction and confidence in the quality of service provided by the accident repair centre.
MAIN TASKS
Vehicle Cleaning \& Presentation
- Wash, vacuum, clean, and polish customer, courtesy, and company vehicles using approved materials, products, and equipment.
- Prepare repaired vehicles to a high standard prior to customer handover.
- Carry out final presentation checks to ensure vehicles are returned in a clean, tidy, and presentable condition.
- Ensure vehicle interiors and exteriors are cleaned thoroughly and meet company standards before release.
- Report any issues affecting vehicle presentation, cleanliness, or condition to management.
- Clean, inspect, and prepare courtesy vehicles so they are ready for customer collection.
- Ensure courtesy cars are presentable, tidy, and suitably prepared for use.
- Carry out basic presentation and cleanliness checks on all courtesy vehicles when returned and prior to reissue.
- Liaise with reception and the wider team to ensure courtesy cars are available and prepared on time.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the valeting area, vehicle storage areas, customer parking areas, and car park.
- Keep all cleaning equipment, tools, and materials in a safe, clean, and serviceable condition.
- Ensure all work areas are kept tidy and free from unnecessary hazards.
- Assist with the movement of vehicles on site where authorised and insured to do so.
- Support the wider bodyshop team with vehicle preparation and site presentation tasks as required.
- Work closely with reception, workshop staff, and management to ensure vehicles are ready on time for collection or delivery.
- Comply fully with all company health and safety policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Use cleaning chemicals, fluids, and equipment safely and in accordance with COSHH and manufacturer guidance.
- Wear appropriate PPE and follow safe working practices at all times.
- Report any faults with cleaning equipment, unsafe conditions, or incidents immediately.
- Ensure only vehicles you are authorised, trained, and insured to move are driven.
Due to the size and complexity of the establishment, you will undertake any other reasonable tasks or duties that are deemed to be within your capability, as directed by a senior manager of the group with whom you have a reporting relationship.

- Previous valeting or vehicle preparation experience
- Experience working in a bodyshop, accident repair centre, dealership, or automotive environment
- Full, valid UK driving licence
- Familiarity with safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
Hours are 8am \- 5pm Monday – Friday
